*2018 NEWS*
So far this year Blondie earned her Junior Hunter title in 4 for 4 attempts, Stella has earned her Senior Hunter title and Jack now has 4 legs toward his Master Hunter title (1 to go). All three dogs were trained and handled by Tom Hoagland.
*2017 NEWS*
Blondie earned her WC at the PRLRC hunt test in August. Tubbie earned her JH title on Long Island in October. Both were trained and handled by Tom Hoagland.
*2013 NEWS*
Tubbie earned her WC, Stella earned her WCI and Jack earned his WCX all at the Pawcatuck River Labrador Retriever Club Working Certificate hunt test on October 27, 2013. All were trained and handled by Tom Hoagland. Yes - this is the same day that Luna decided to have her second litter, so Robin missed the second half of the event to help her.
Stella earned her Junior Hunter title on Long Island on October 13, 2013. She was trained and handled Tom Hoagland, and earned her title in 4 for 4! She is moving fast... Jack also went to Long Island with Tom and earned his 4th Senior Hunter leg. He only has one more to go before he earns his Senior Hunter title. Jack became a new American Champion on September 14, 2013. Jack was handled by Kathryn Mines. She is a wonderful handler! Another great day - July 6, 2013, almost exactly 2 years later (see below)...Luna got her last point and earned her American Championship title with Kathryn Mines, Professional Handler. Luna is already a Master Hunter who qualified for the Master National, so this is no small feat! We are so grateful to Kathy Mines and all of the people that made us keep going!! Also this day, Tia become a Canadian Master Hunter earning her 6th leg, handled by Jim Pickunka of Pondview Retrievers!
*2012 NEWS*
Tia qualified for the Canadian Master National, and drove to Canada again with Tom in mid-August to compete in the event. Jim Pickunka of Pond View Retrievers accompanied them. Jack earned the first leg of his Senior Hunter title at the Yankee Waterfowlers AKC hunt test in Woodstock, CT on 8/11/12. He skipped the Junior Hunter title so he needs 5 legs to earn the Senior title. Luna earned 10 points with 2 majors toward her American Championship title while on the show circuit with Kathryn Mines, Professional Handler. They traveled to Florida, New Jersey, and New York so far, with more shows to come.
*2011 NEWS*
Tia and Luna both earned their Master Hunter titles on the same day, July 16, 2011. What a day!! Luna also qualified for The Master National Retriever Club event held in Cambridge, MD on October 2-9, 2011. She attended with trainer, Jim Pickunka (Pond View Retrievers), and she earned a qualifying score!! Many thanks to Jim and his bird boys (George, Joe and Tom) for making this all possible!
*2010 NEWS*
Luna finished her Senior Hunter title early this season and is on her way to Master Hunter level tests with Tia. It's hard to keep up but currently (9/12/10), Tia has 3 legs toward her Master Hunter title (5 are required to finish), and Luna has one leg towards her Master Hunter title.
*2009 NEWS*
Luna earned her 2nd Senior Hunter leg on Long Island on October 24th, 2009. Tia was entered in the Masters test but was pulled because she was in heat (she was bred and had a litter).
At the Pawcatuck River Labrador Retriever Club's hunt test on October 3, 2009 at the Fin, Fur and Feather Club in Chaplin, CT our dogs earned several titles. Little Mya earned her Working Certificate (WC), which she was barely old enough to enter. The minimum age is 6 months which she turned on September 27, 2009.
Luna earned her Working Certificate Intermediate (WCI) and Working Certificate Excellent (WCX). Luna will be our star someday soon.
Tia ran the WCX just for practice (she earned this title last year) and she had a qualifying score once again. It was a great day for dogs and humans alike!
Tia earned her first Master Hunter leg and Luna her first Senior Hunter leg at the LRCGB test at Peake Brook in Woodstock, CT the weekend of September 25 to 27, 2009.
Tia earned her Senior Hunter title on 6/27/09 at Nod Brook in Simsbury, CT. Tom and Tia put alot of hard work into earning this title. Many thanks to all of their training buddies especially Jim Pickunka (Pond View Retrievers), George Amenabar and Jo Ann Reynolds. A big thanks also goes to Kathy Wolf for breeding Tia and for letting us co-own her.

Tia earned her third qualifying score in a Senior Hunter test on Long Island, NY on 10/26/08. We are so proud of her and Tom (trainer and handler).
Tia earned her Working Certificate Intermediate (WCI) and Working Certificate Excellent (WCX) titles at the Pawcatuck River Labrador Retiever Club's Working Certicate test on 10/4/08.
Luna also earned her Working Certificate (WC) at the same event.
Rosie earned her Rally Novice (RN) title at the Pawcatuck River Labrador Retriever Club's back-to-back specialty on 9/19/08.
Tia also earned 2 legs of her Rally Advanced (RA) title at the same event.
Luna earned her Junior Hunter (JH) title on 8/23/08 in Maine in 4 qualifying scores for 4 attempts!
Tia earned her second qualifying score in a Senior Hunter test in West Thompson, CT.

Tia earned her first qualifying score in a Senior Hunter test
on 10/28/07 on Long Island, NY !
Tia also earned her Rally Novice (RN) obedience title at the Pawcatuck River Labrador Retriever Club Specialty on 9/21/07.
Rosie has three new titles - Working Certificate (WC, 9/15/07), Conformation Certificate (CC, 9/15/07) and Junior Hunter (JH, 9/22/07)! Rosie earned her JH in only 4 attempts.
Rosie also earned her first leg toward her Rally Novice obedience title (RN) with a score of 100/100 (9/21/07). We are so proud of her (and Tom as handler).
